British Journalist's Great Announcement

British Journalist Announced Pakistani Spot Fixers Unguilty:

A British Journalist Ed Hawkins has claimed in his new book that three Pakistani cricketers including Mohammad Asif, Salman Butt and Mohammad Amir were wrongly been convicted by the ICC, declaring all of them innocent. He stated that the International Cricket Council did not carry out the Spot fixing case in transparent manner.British Journalist Declares Banned Pakistani Cricketers Innocent.
According to Hawkins, all the three Pakistani cricketers were unjustly charged and found guilty by the ICC. He stated that Justice Cook, who chaired the case proceedings, was not fully aware of spot or match fixing.

Hawkins, a sport betting journalist, spent months investigating corruption in cricket has stated out the fact that India is the biggest market of cricket corruption and betting in the world. Huge mistakes were made in the spot fixing case and no case was made on the Pakistani cricketers, he added.
His book ‘Bookie Gambler Fixer Spy: Journey to the corrupt heart of cricket’s underworld’ will be published on November 15 where the detailed facts would be revealed which might help Pakistani Cricketers to re-open their cases.
In response, Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Asif expressed relief over the developments and said that I had already said that many things would reveal in the future and they were proven guilty by force which was a conspiracy against Pakistan.

The British journalist has now claimed that the three Pakistani cricketers, Salman Butt, Muhammad Asif and Muhamamd Amir, earlier convicted for deliberately bowling no-balls that marred the third Test against England in 2011 were innocent.
The report was published in the same British newspaper that earlier claimed the World cup 2011 final between India and Pakistan was fixed.

Ed Hawkins said that the trio was wrongly convicted, accusing ICC of not holding transparent inquiry into the spot-fixing case.

‘Everyone in the Indian book-making world I have spoken to has confirmed it is not possible to bet on the timing of a no-ball’, Hawkins added.

Saeed Ajmal signed for BBL 2012-13

Saeed Ajmal will be seen in Big Bash League 2012-13:

Pakistan's No. 1 spinner Saeed Ajmal has signed with the Adelaide Strikers for the Twenty20 Big Bash League. He will be available for the Strikers' first match, against the Perth Scorchers, and may then return for the latter stages of the tournament.

Ajmal's signature represents a significant addition to the Strikers and the BBL, his spinning variations having teased and confused batsmen the world over in recent times, not least those of Australia.

"I am really excited about playing for the Adelaide Strikers and really happy that I will get the chance to show my talent in the BBL," Ajmal said.

"I am very keen to meet up with the rest of the boys soon and play my best in the games that I am available, with the hope that Adelaide make the final stages and I can return to help win the competition."

The Strikers coach Darren Berry said he was delighted to have signed Ajmal, the latest example of his policy of using spin as an attacking weapon on dry surfaces at Adelaide Oval.

"We know what this guy is capable of, having seen him run through both the Australian and English batsmen a couple of months ago, so to have him on board is a great result for the Strikers," Berry said.

Adelaide have also signed the South Australia wicketkeeper Tim Ludeman and the Queensland legspinner Cameron Boyce.

Sri Lanka vs New Zealand 2nd ODI Match

Sri Lanka won by 14 runs against New Zealand in 2nd ODI at Pallekele:

It had already caused a washout and a no-result. It was highly probable that the rain which has been following this series would soon force a result under the Duckworth-Lewis method. That is what happened tonight when the second ODI of the five-match series was decided in favour of the hosts 22.5 overs into Sri Lanka's chase. New Zealand, who have now lost eight of their previous nine ODIs, had reason to feel a touch aggrieved, having taken Tillakaratne Dilshan's wicket a few overs back to break a growing partnership with Mahela Jayawardene. Sri Lanka were still 133 runs adrift of the target of 251, but in the final count, they had stayed comfortably ahead of the D/L mark of 104.

It meant New Zealand's highest ODI score against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka, achieved on the back of a late charge by Ross Taylor, was in vain. In the first ODI played under the latest revised conditions, which allow only four fielders outside the inner circle in non-Powerplay overs, New Zealand had batted the old-fashioned way, preserving wickets for a final push.
